What is the School of Holiness?

The School of Holiness is a three-week summer program for young adults hosted by Direction For Our Times in County Cavan, Ireland. The program teaches human well being from psychological, social and spiritual angles, all within the framework of the Roman Catholic faith. In an interactive learning environment students learn to have healthy relationships with God, with other people, and with themselves. Neuroscience and Scriptural teaching are combined to make a dynamic and contemporary curriculum in which students are encouraged to see themselves as spiritual beings on a journey in the world.

Christian fellowship is a key component of the School of Holiness: students come from many different corners of the world and socialising is a natural and integral part of the program. Mass and adoration are woven into the daily routine. In between the busy weekdays there are field trips across the country to ensure that students can take in as much of Ireland’s beautiful culture and landscape as possible, and past field trip locations have included Croagh Patrick mountain, Glendalough, Knock Shrine, beaches in Donegal, and Dun Na Ri forest park. The School of Holiness is a relaxed, playful and safe environment in which young people can learn about themselves and about their spirituality.

Cost $990 for the 3 week program. Includes food, lodging and field trips around Ireland as well as airport pick up and drop off.
